Genç odasında zaman aralıkları oldukça uzundur aileler bu nedenle çocukluktan çıkılan 11 yaşından sonraki dönemlerde genç odası tercihine geçebileceklerdir. Genç odası bir gencin zamanının büyük bir bölümünü geçirmiş olduğu alandır. Çocuğun bu alanda rahat bir şekilde ders çalışması ve eğlenmesi önemlidir.
